The Silver Roosevelt Dime. John Ray Sinnock, the eighth Chief Engraver of the United States Mint, served from 1925 to 1947. According to the National Archives and Records Administration of the Franklin D. Roosevelt Library in Hyde Park, New York, The obverse of the Roosevelt Dime was copied from a bronze bas-relief profile of Franklin Delano Roosevelt crafted by sculptor Selma Burke. The ten cent dime measures 17.9 mm in diameter and weighs 2.5 grams, is composed of 90% silver and 10% copper, lending it a distinct and lustrous appearance. This coin was minted by the United States from 1946 to 1964 The reverse side of the coin is a design of a torch, an olive branch, and an oak branch, symbolizing liberty, peace, and strength.
